Fischbein announces strategic alliance with Columbia/Okura
Statesville, NC, January 26, 2015 - Fischbein Americas, a world leader in bag closing technology and packaging solutions, is pleased to announce the formation of a strategic alliance with Columbia/Okura, a leading provider of robotic palletizers with the largest install base in the US. This significant and customer-focused alliance was initiated by each company's shared commitment to providing single source, end-to-end, fully automated bag packaging solutions.
This strategic alliance combines Fischbein's 100 years of experience designing and manufacturing bag weighing, handling and closing equipment with the market-leading robotic palletizing equipment from Columbia/Okura.
"Over the last few years it has been our distinct pleasure to have partnered with Columbia/Okura to provide numerous customers with fully automated bagging lines. Both companies have a strong history of providing premium quality products, engineered for best cost of ownership and built for years of problem free operation," said Allan Sutherland, Senior Vice President & General Manager, Fischbein Americas. “Together we are committed to delivering not just equipment, but complete, fully integrated bagging solutions which optimize our customers' bagging system performance and throughput with Intelligent Self-Pacing software solutions."
The Intelligent Self-Pacing software solution is a synchronized system that automatically paces the speed of the bagger based on the status of the palletizer. This proprietary software and communication system optimizes the throughput of the complete bagging system and is programmed to communicate exclusively between Fischbein and Columbia/Okura equipment.
